About Us

UAJAK Neelum Valley Campus (The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir) had been launched in September 2013. Presently, 3 programs are being offered at the University. The people belonging to backward areas have easy access to education because of the establishment of the Neelum Campus. It will go a long way in improving and enhancing the standard of higher education in the area.

The UAJAK Neelum Valley is a multi-discipline and multi-campus University. The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is the biggest educational institution, in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. It consists of four faculties i.e., faculty of arts, faculty of sciences, faculty of engineering, and faculty of health sciences. More than 15,000 students are enrolled in this university, from different areas of Azad Kashmir, Punjab, Khaber Pakhtun Khawa, and Gilgit Baltistan.

The UAJAK Neelum Valley has developed in academic and administrative directions. Most of the buildings at the Muzaffarabad and Rawalakot campuses were destroyed in the earthquake of 2005. In October 2019, Saudi Arabia funded for the new campus, known as King Abdullah campus covering than 1800 canals. The old Chahella campus was also updated. The University of Azad & Jammu Kashmir also has a new campus in the district of Hattian Bala, in the Nelum Valley and a women’s campus in the Bagh district. The temporary city campus financed by the Turkish Government, and it is moved to the King Abdullah Campus. The number of faculties and departments will also be increased on all campuses.

Every year the University is producing graduates, MPhil scholars, and Ph.D. doctors. The University has an Institute of Kashmir Studies that also provides education about the history of the State of Kashmir. The oldest department of the University is the Institute of Geology, the excellent Institution of Geology in Pakistan.

1.12 years of field related education, passed with at least 50% marks from a recognized institution
2.50% marks in entry test

University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Neelum Campus is moving ahead on the path of remarkable growth in higher learning sector using human and financial resources to increase access to programs and using all cautions to guarantee quality of the increased base of higher learning programs.

Workshops and seminars are held after some time period on various topics. They installed many positive characters in students, these events enhanced their listening abilities, communication skills and have made their networking strong with different people from industries, Scientists, Professors and many others.
