Sohail University was established On May 9th,2018, under the purview of the S.M. Sohail Trust through legislation passed by the Sindh Provincial Assembly under the Sohail University Act2017, Sindh Act No: XIII of 2018. Despite the fact that it was a new university, its constituent institutions, Jinnah Medical and Dental College and Jinnah College of Nursing, were founded in 1998-99 and2009. These institutions have a strong known for providing innovative teaching and clinical training at state-of-the-art hospitals. Up to this point, the institute has produced 1100 MBBS, 600 BDS, and 338 Nursing graduates who are meeting society’s need for health care.

Sohail University is willing to launch centers of excellence in new fields in science, engineering, technology, management, and associated fields after achieving academic success in these schools. A College of Physical Therapy, BBA program, Historical and Social Research Institute, and Postgraduate Program in Basic Medical Sciences, including the development of a Biomedical Research Center, are among the initial initiatives.

Sohail University offers admissions in various disciplines. Candidates have to pass the entrance exam in order to get admission to SU.
1. Intermediate (FSC Pre-med/eng) or equivalent with 60% marks
2. Walk-in-interview for BBA. No admission test.
