Gomal University Tank Campus is a public university in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It was established in 1974. Gomal University, Tank University is the second oldest university of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and occupies one of the largest campuses in the province. EX-Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto is the founder of the Gomal University D.I. Khan and he laid the foundation stone of the Gomal University on 1st May 1974 to put forward his vision of highly educated Pakistan to meet the modern world challenges in every aspect of life & with the intention to provide Higher education at the doorsteps of people of D.I.Khan. Gomal University Tank Campus also provides a Distance Education Program which means the education of students who may not always be physically present in university lectures are provided online and hybrid classes. Students that have appeared in HSSC (Part II) or an equivalent examination and are awaiting results are eligible to apply to the Gomal University Tank Campus.

Selection Criteria for Undergraduate Program:
1. Twelve years of education related to the field, FSCFA degree, or any equivalent with at least 50% of marks/ 2nd division.

Selection Criteria for Graduate Program:
1. 16 years of education with at-least second division with 2.5 CGPA in semester system.
2. Entry test clearance.
