Al-Khair University was found in the year 1994. The main objective for the inauguration of the University in the Private Sector was to supplement the Public Sector Education, by circulating scientific, professional, and technological education in the Country. With a view, however, to keep swiftness with changing the position of education throughout the world. The main emphasis is in the Marketing field, Finance & Banking, IT, and Computer-Based courses.

Al- Khair University has a successful and innovative outlook and fully focuses on the three functions of higher education including Teaching, Research, and Service. Al-Khair University makes every possible venture to know the target and aim of education being the prior right of an individual. Al-Khair University is located on Pindi Jhonja Road, Bhimber Bypass, in Bhimber, and is affiliated with the Higher Education Commission Pakistan.

Selection Criteria for Undergraduates
1. 12 years of field-related education, passed with at least a second division from any registered institution.
2. 50% passing marks must be obtained in the Entry test.

Selection Criteria for Graduates
1. 16 years of education with at least second division with an aggregate of 45% in the annual system and 2.5 CGPA in the semester system.
2. 50% passing marks must be obtained in the entry test.
