HEC Balochistan & FATA Undergraduate Scholarship 2023 is a brilliant opportunity for the students of the region to earn a good scholarship. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is committed to providing educational opportunities for students from Balochistan and FATA. In furtherance of this goal, HEC has recently announced the launch of the Indigenous Scholarships Batch-I for Undergraduate Studies in All Disciplines. HEC Balochistan & FATA undergraduate scholarship2023 program is part of the larger initiative known as “Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for the students of Balochistan & FATA (Phase-III)”, which aims to increase access to higher education for students from these regions.

HEC Balochistan & FATA undergraduate scholarships 2023 are 500 scholarships that will be distributed among both regions equally. Candidates with local certificates/domicile from Balochistan or FATA are invited to apply for the HEC Undergraduate Scholarships. These scholarships are for studies in public sector universities recognized by HEC or W-category private universities in Pakistan. The deadline for scholarship applications is February 13, 2023.

The Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) Undergraduate Scholarships for students of Balochistan and FATA cover:

  • Tuition and other fees, including hostel fee, up to Rs. 60,000 per semester/year.
  • Living allowance of Rs. 6,000 per month with annual increments of Rs. 500.
  • Book allowance of Rs. 5,000 per year.
  • Travel allowance of Rs. 5,000 per year.
  • Initial settlement allowance of Rs. 10,000 during the entire study period.

 

 

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the HEC Balochistan & FATA Undergraduate Scholarship 2023, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Local certificate/domicile from Balochistan or FATA.
  • Completion of 12 years of education with a minimum of 60% marks in FA/FSc/ICom/ICS/DAE or equivalent for an undergraduate degree program.
  • Age of 22 years or younger as of the closing date for undergraduate
  • Possession of required academic qualifications before the closing date.
  • Students with A-levels & O-levels must have an equivalence certificate to apply.
  • Result awaiting students cannot apply for scholarships.
  • Ineligibility for those already receiving another HEC or government scholarship.
  • Students enrolled in medical colleges and engineering programs are not eligible for the reserved seats but may still be considered for the scholarship based on merit.
  • Students already enrolled in any bachelor program are encouraged to apply.

 

How to Apply for HEC Balochistan & FATA Undergraduate Scholarship 2023

To apply for the scholarship, the following steps must be taken:

  • Submit an online application through HEC’s website https://www.hec.gov.pk/english/scholarshipsgrants/BAL-FATA/Pages/default.aspx – hard copies of documents are not needed at this stage.
  • Pay a PKR 500 application processing fee via the HBL account and upload the original bank payment record/slip with the online application. The original slip must be kept for presentation at the test center.
  • Complete the online application carefully and submit. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • HEC reserves the right to postpone or cancel the scholarship process at any time without explanation.

 

Checkpoints

  • Applications will be submitted only online.
  • No one will be allowed to take the test without presenting the original bank deposit slip.
  • The scholarships will be awarded on merit and quota-base.
  • The scholarship allocation for students from Balochistan and FATA is split equally, at a 50:50 ratio.
  • The application processing fee is non-refundable.
  • Applicants have to secure 50% marks in the test.
