BS International Relations (IR)

Bachelor degree in International relations normally known as IR is a sub-discipline in the field of social sciences. IR is basically a 4 years degree program recognized by HEC. The program mainly focuses on theoretical as well as methodological aspects of politics. It also enables the students to study the international relations between different countries of the globe. During courses, the students are taught about the effects of the globalization and global policies as well as world’s politics and social- historical impact of global development. As international relation is comparatively new discipline, so the courses that are taught to the undergraduates can vary from one university to another in Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Intermediate ( FSC, pre engineering/ ICS, I.com or equivalent).
  • 50% marks in previous degree.
  • Passing marks in Entry test.

Scope

After getting BS degree in IR, an undergraduate will be able to secure fine job at local government, private or public institutions and even at NGOs. Not only this, the skills that students developed during degree for example: public speaking, verbal and written communication, cooperation with different people, handling conflicts etc. helps them succeed in other careers as well.

International Relation is growing and evolving day by day and professionals are in high demand and after graduation there are many gates open for the students to apply in certain field for career buildup. Graduates of IR can work as Intelligence Analyst, Policy Analyst, Immigration Specialist, Public Affairs Specialist, International Marketing Manager, Political Risk Analyst and Diplomat.
