ISLAMABAD – Educational institutions including schools, colleges, and universities shall remain closed on July 31, 2023 (Monday) and August 1, 2023 (Tuesday) within the revenue limits of Islamabad.
As a high-level foreign dignitary is expected to visit the capital city, the district administration has announced public holidays to assure foolproof security and other preparations for the visit. According to the notification by Irfan Nawaz Memon, District Magistrate ICT, All Public/Private Schools, Colleges, and Universities shall remain closed on the said dates.
The same applies to All Private Entities/Companies, All Markets/Shops, and All Commercial Banks. Including the earlier Ashura Holidays, it’s been a long weekend of five public holidays in Islamabad.
