M.Phil. Pakistani & Literature

M.Phil. in Pakistani Languages and Literature is a 2-5-years degree program that has focus on Pashto, Balochi, Brahui, Sindhi, Saraiki, and Punjabi. Apart from having a distinct individual foundation and status, all of Pakistan's languages share a number of common qualities. MPhil in Pakistani Languages & Literature focus on themes such as comparative study of Pakistani languages, linguistic interaction, and distinctive and common literary trends in order to foster national integrity and solidarity. Students will be taught about the distinctive traits, linguistic links, philological impacts, mutual co-operation, and various shared literary trends found in Pakistani languages.
MPhil in Pakistani Languages & Literature includes the home tongue of the aspirants as well as other Pakistani languages and literature. The program's goal is to highlight the structure, style, and variation of various dialects, as well as their distinctiveness, origin and development, linguistic group and region, common aspects of literature, and trends of Balochi, Brahui, Pushto, Sindhi, Punjabi, Saraiki, Hindko, Kashmiri, Gojri, Pahari, Balti, Shina, Burushaski, Torwali, Gawri, Khowar, and Wakhi.

Scope

MPhil in Pakistani Languages & Literature is a non-vocational degree and its scope has increased now with increasing interests in the regional languages. Besides, the research has been increased in the regional languages and literature has been promoted that is why the scope of the MPhil degree in Pakistani Languages has been moving upwards.
