Ph.D. Economics

In Pakistan, there has long been a demand for a Ph.D. program in economics. The number of qualified economists has fallen below the country's standards in recent years. The mass departure of economists to more lucrative jobs abroad has exacerbated the professional void in government departments, educational institutions, and research organizations. The Ph.D. program in economics was created to address some of these issues by providing the required resources for economist training in Pakistan. This program aims to provide students with a broad range of economics knowledge, awareness, and expertise in order to tackle the problems of the new millennium, as well as the analytical tools needed for policy-oriented research.

The program's major purpose is to prepare participants to become top-notch economists. PhD Economics is designed to prepare economists who are capable of conducting globally competitive research and making complicated business judgments. It prepares the aspirants for a career in academia, business, or any other research-oriented job in the public or private sector. They provide important economic information to forecast pricing and have a significant impact on government policy.

PhD degree holders are best qualified individuals to teach and perform high-quality research in their chosen disciplines, and are prepared for positions in universities, research institutions, businesses, government agencies, and international organizations. Economists usually specialize in one or two fields. As a result, some economists discuss a country’s economic foreign policy.
