BS Saraiki

Saraiki is the language spoken by millions of people in Punjab, as well as a medium of communication through which they conduct and execute the daily business of their lives. Saraiki is a dialect of Punjabi. For centuries, Saraiki has served as a vehicle for the saints and other great poets of this region to express themselves. Consequently, the framework of Saraiki classical poetry is built on the foundations of mysticism and high moral ideals, and it is a work of art. In addition to reflecting the reality and attitudes of life, the Saraiki language is an important source of social, cultural, and historical identity for the people who use it. The Bachelor of Science in Saraiki is 4 years degree programme that promotes the Saraiki language and literature while also highlighting the rich history and diversity of the culture. Saraiki is a Sufi language that is infused with the culture and ideals of the people who speak it. With this program, the Saraiki language and literature will be re-established in its proper place in academia as well as in the wider community.

Eligibility Criteria

  • 12 years education with FA / FSc securing minimum second division (in annual system). Minimum 45% or equivalent marks in intermediate or equivalent qualification.
  • Passing marks in entry test.

Scope

Upon completion of this degree program, students will be prepared to pursue a variety of Saraiki-related careers, as the language is widely employed in Muslim communities’ commerce and other daily activities. Higher degree programs in relevant disciplines can be pursued with the goal of becoming a lecturer and instructor in Madarsas, schools, colleges, and universities.
