BS Forensic Science

BS Forensic Science is a 4-years degree program that offers a solid foundation of professional courses as well as a diverse liberal arts background. The purpose of this degree is to provide science and criminal justice students with a new educational path and the possibility to qualify for entry-level forensic science careers in crime labs, police agencies, and medical professions. Students will develop skills in the fields of forensic science in the justice system, crime scene processing, and evidence documentation.
Forensic science also encompasses highly specialized sub-fields such as forensic medicine, forensic anthropology, drug analysis, toxicology, entomology, environmental forensics, biological evidence, forensic DNA analysis, and more, which are often offered as stand-alone degree program. Students pursuing a degree in forensic science will benefit from practical classes and lab work, as well as vital skills such as analytical and critical thinking, computer training, and scientific writing that will help them examine facts.

Scope

Because of the high rate of criminal activity in Pakistan, forensic science has a good scope. In order to conduct a thorough investigation, we will need some experienced forensic scientists. In order to investigate a crime, every state must require a forensic science department in Pakistan. In Pakistan, there are numerous government departments that provide forensic science job prospects. NAB, Intelligence Agencies, Anti-Corruption Departments, Forensic Labs, Police Training Colleges, FIA, Armed Forces, and Investigation Departments are all good places to work as a forensic scientist.
