University of Lakki Marwat, Lakki Mawat
The University of Lakki Marwat is a public sector university located at Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The University of Lakki Marwat was earlier a Sub-Campus of the University of Science & Technology, Bannu which was established in December 2014 by launching two departments i.e. Political Science and Education & Research in an academic block of GPGC (Boys) Lakki Marwat. The Campus was upgraded to a full-fledge University in 2017.
The mission of this educational institute is all about the realization of its vision. Rigorous research in laboratories with the help of state-of-the-art technology, refinement of arguments and theories through the introduction of debating culture, dialogue, and questioning all that is given and systematization of all that is presented as a new. Such par-excellence is to be achieved by the students, professors, and staff when they are given what is due to them in form of the following merit in admission, in appointment and promotion, and in form of delivering services in a timely and efficient manner.

Admissions in the University of Lakki Marwat are selective and they prefer to give the opportunity to brilliant minds on the bases of merit.
Selection Criteria for Undergraduate Programs
1. 12 years of field related education, passed with at least second division from any recognized institution of Pakistan.
2. At least with 50% marks in the entry test.
Selection Criteria for Graduate Programs
1. 16 years of education with at least second division with aggregate 50% marks.
2. At least 50% marks in the entry test.
Scholarships are the instruments of encouragement towards education and research for students. The University of Lakki Marwat offers the following scholarships for its students;
1. PAK-USAID Merit & Need-Based Scholarships Program.
2. HEC Need-Based Scholarship Program.

Since it is a prime institute for education and research, it has the obligation to provide trained manpower to all sectors of education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Being a high seat of learning it is also expected to engage in basic and applied research. Other than degree programs, the university has been playing a vital role in training scientists and students of the allied institutions through short term span of training in different areas of agriculture and relevant disciplines. The faculty, researchers, and students of the university are committed to further excellence in education and research, which will ultimately help in the development of the province in particular and the country at large.
The overall aim of the seminar and workshop series is to help develop an emerging field at the intersection of multi-disciplinary understandings of culture and education. It will build on the existing body of work on education and culture. The goal is to explore and develop new perspectives in this area, to communicate and coordinate with various local and international bodies, to analyze, evaluate, and ensure that the procedures and practices meet the requirement of international standards.
