The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, UAJAK Jehlum ValleyCampus has been launched on August 01, 2015, at Hattian Bala. Initially, three undergraduate degree programs have been launched and are being offered by the University, English, Education, and Computer Sciences. The traditional customs of the area and lack of resources bound the higher education prospects for the youth especially females who are not able to join higher education institutions in big cities.
The university campus at Jhelum Valley (UAJAK Jehlum Valley) is offering the higher education amenities to the youth at their doorsteps and empowers them to take part in national development. UAJAK Jhelum Valley is an endeavor for providing a quality learning experience to graduates. The environment of the university is helpful to bring up students’ capabilities. The university also aims to convey its students’ hands-on research experience in research skills for the utilization of local resources and sharing their research findings with the international community for the benefit of humanity.
Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) is the released part of the former State of Jammu & Kashmir. It is located in the north of Pakistan at a distance of around 110 km. AJK is about 3 hours drive from Islamabad. The total area of AJK is 13297 sq. km. The state Azad & Jammu Kashmir is consists of ten districts namely, Muzaffarabad, Neelum, Hattian Bala, Poonch, Bagh, Sudhonti, Haveli, Mirpur, Bhimber, and Kotli. Azad Jammu & Kashmir is a land of beauty.
This valley has wonderful scenery, high mountains covered with lush green grass, and with tall trees, the snow-capped peaks the twisting rivers curling through mountains, the waterfalls, and lakes form an incredible background. The beauty of the valleys of AJK attracts tourists from various parts of the world.

The admission criteria for UAJAK Jehlum Valley are strict and eligible students are selected.

Selection Criteria for Undergraduates
1. 12-years of field related education passed with at least 50% marks from a recognized institution
2. 50% marks in entry test
