Swat University of Engineering and Technology is an innovative initiative supported by the Provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to diversify higher education and deliver highly skilled human resources to meet modern challenges. Swat is known as the “Switzerland of Pakistan” due to its spectacular scenery sites and is one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has granted PKR 7 billion (three years; 2020-2023) for the foundation of Swat Engineering University. SUET offers BS, MS, and Ph.D. programs in Electrical Engineering, Mining, Materials and Metallurgy, Computer System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Oil/Gas Engineering, and Bio Engineering. Its future plan is to establish campuses in Kabal, Barikot, Arkot, and Kalam.
