The Sir Syed CASE Institute of Technology is a private sector institute located in the suburb of Islamabad, Pakistan. CASE was established in the month of September, the year 2001 at the Software Technology Park, Islamabad. The affiliation permitted it to start M.Sc and Ph.D. degree programs in computer engineering. Sir Syed CASE Institute of Technology was inaugurated by the Minister of Science and Technology professor Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman. Dr. Kamal Athar was the director from 2001 until 2003. The institute started with a faculty of nine Ph.D. students and three Masters of Science. Many of them are still working as permanent faculty members.
Sir Syed CASE Institute of Technology initiated a B.Sc program in the year 2003 in its school SS-CARE primarily in cooperation with Sir Syed Memorial Society. The classes started at Sir Syed Esquire which was situated at 19th Ataturk Avenue, Islamabad. Later on, undergraduate classes started under the name of CASE. This program is licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council and Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. It offers undergraduate and post-graduate programs in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Software Engineering, and Engineering Management. The B.Sc program in Electrical Engineering is accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council and has two variants Telecommunication Engineering and Computer Engineering. Sir Syed CASE Institute of Technology also offers a BBA program under the advanced Engineering Management Department.
CASE is affiliated with the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila. The motto of the institute is “To bridge the gap between industry and academia”.

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

1. 12 years of field related education, passed with at least second division from any registered institution.
2. 60% marks in entry test.

1. 16 years of education with at least second division with aggregate 45% in the annual system and 2.5 cgpa in semester system.
2. 60% marks in entry test.
