National University of Sciences and Technology Islamabad, also known as NUST is one of the most vibrant institutes in Pakistan. The University’s main campus continues to expand, both academically and in terms of the physical environment, whereas, our commitment to scientific leadership continues to grow unabated. National University of Sciences and Technology Islamabad has 4 main campuses in Islamabad, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Riasalpur. NUST has collaborated with many institutes on different occasions e.g. CERN, Standford University, University of Kaiserslautern (TUKL), Germany, and many others. Students are NUST’s primary importance. Their trips to industries and other big institutes are arranged to enhance their exposure. Students also run a lot of societies and small organizations. National University of Sciences and Technology Islamabad has been ranked No.1 University of Pakistan in the category of General (Large) universities as a result of the ranking announced by HEC on 5th July 2013.
This ranking was carried out based on Quality Assurance criteria, teaching quality, and research conducted in the Pakistani universities. Later on, NUST has been declared the best Engineering & Technology University (Ranked No 1) as per HEC released on 25th May 2015. It has retained its top in Engineering & Technology University (Ranked No 1) as per HEC released on 23rd February 2016. The ranking lists have been prepared based on data/statistics for the years 2013-2014.
The vision is “To evolve the National University of Sciences and Technology Islamabad into a world-class Centre of Excellence among Higher Education Institutions, leading the transformation of Pakistan towards a rapidly developing Knowledge Economy to the national objective of a progressive and prosperous country among nations”.

Admissions of the National University of Sciences and Technology Islamabad opens in March, June, and December. Students can apply online. The university will then assign the entry test date and the location of the test. Students will be also given their specific roll numbers for their tests.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
1. The students who scored a minimum of 60% score in metric/O levels and in intermediate.
2. Students who scored 50% on the entry test.

1. Students who scored a minimum of 2.2 CGPA in the undergraduate program.
2. Students who scored 50% in GATs general test.
3. The selected students will be screened during the interview.
