Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) is a new university but has a decade of experience in the form of its highly educated and experienced staff. The university started in 1973 with the approval of the Sindh Government.  It is a medical university located in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Karachi is the capital of Sindh, Pakistan. Karachi is Pakistan’s cosmopolitan city, a cultural, political, and educational hub of Pakistan. The city is the 5th largest city in the world, regarding its population. Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Karachi is formally known as Sindh Medical University which gained university status in 2012. It is a Public Sector University, accredited by HEC, and affiliated with UGC and other renowned medical institutions.

The university aims to provide the latest techniques and trends in teaching and learning. The motto of Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Karachi is “Knowledge, Service, and Character”. Jinnah Sindh Medical University has multiple departments that offer admission in both undergraduate and graduate and some offer a Ph.D. too.

Selection Criteria for Undergraduate Programs
1. 12-years of field-related education passed with at least second division from any registered institution.
2. 50% marks in the entry test.

Selection Criteria for Graduate Programs
1. 16-years of education with at least second division with an aggregate 45% in the annual system and 2.5 CGPA in the semester system.
2. 50% marks in the entry test.
