Institute of Business Administration, IBA Karachi
The Institute of Business Administration, IBA Karachi is an unconstrained university in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It was established in the year 1955, it is the oldest business school outside North America. At the present time, IBA is one of Pakistan’s renowned and top-ranked institutes ideally known for its business program. It is one of the two Pakistani business schools being awarded the certificate by the South Asian Quality System.
IBA’s campus covers the zone of 750,000 sq.ft and has around 6000 total enrollments. IBA collaborates with 15 institutions throughout the world. There has been a continuous increase from 30% Ph.D.’s in 2008, to over 50% till now. More than 20 faculty members are presently pursuing their Ph.D.’s at top leading foreign l universities, controlling IBA’s principal position with a faculty of over 70% PhDs in the coming time.

IBA Karachi pursues a need-blind admissions policy and touches the indicated financial need of every student.
The admission depends on the candidate’s ability to meet some conditions including online application and registration of the aptitude test. The candidate must clear the aptitude test. Candidate should meet the eligibility criteria and must provide an equivalence certificate and transcript if applicable.
Higher Secondary School Certificate with a minimum of 65% marks.
A minimum of 16 years of education out of them 4 years should have been finished in an HEC recognized university/degree awarding institute with 2.5 CGPA or 60% in last degree Candidates with work experience will be preferred.
POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA (PGD)
Candidates applying for Post Graduate Diploma programs must have 14 Years Education with 6 years’ post-qualification work experience or 16 Years Education with 3 years’ post-qualification work experience.
IBA has 80 full time and 85 part-time and visiting faculty members teaching courses in Management, Marketing, HR, Strategy, Finance, Economics, Quantitative Methods, Organizational Behavior, Computer Sciences, Ethics, Social Sciences, Chinese, Arabic. The faculty is illustrated from two streams i.e. academic and practice. Academic faculty mainly have individuals holding Doctorate or Master’s degrees from well-known universities while the faculty in practice draws upon the large reservoirs of top leaders, chief executives, senior managers who are and have been associated with the corporate sector.

SEERIL awards an amount of around 18,000 to pursue higher studies that may involve master, Ph.D. or post-doctoral research topics in the energy and natural resources field. This scholarship is offered to all qualifying academic institutions and their students free of charge. The Scholarship is open for submission of applications between the months of January and March every year and it is mainly awarded during the months of June and July.
