The Hazara University Battagram Campus is a private sector university established in 2001 with high rankings as per the HEC. The main campus expanded with four sub-campuses of which the Battagram campus is one. Battagram is a city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa comprising of various educational institutes. Hazara University is a university that intends to provide quality education with an affordable fee structure. It aims to provide research-centered learning.

The Hazara University Battagram campus is located in the Battagram district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. Its goal is to communicate new knowledge in the field of social sciences and arts. This campus wants to contribute to the original research base work in the global scientific community for the sake of human welfare.

Hazara University intends to be a standard university providing affordable quality educational opportunities for students to develop scientific, socio-culture, economic, and political leadership, through learner-centered teaching and research, while strengthening their identity at the Regional, National, and International levels.

Pakistan Heritage, Hazara Islamicus, and IDRAK are the bi-annual journals published annually by the different departments of the Hazara University. The journals are internationally accepted and reviewed. The journals also motivate authors to conduct research on various subjects including socio-economic and religious issues.

The Hazara University (HU) Battagram campus administers various programs from Bachelor to doctoral level. For admission, all candidates must pass an entrance exam. A list of passed candidates is issued online.

Selection criteria for undergraduate Programs
1. The candidate should have completed FA/F.Sc or equivalent education
2. More than 50% of the marks obtained in the entry test.

Selection Criteria for Graduate program
1. The candidate should have completed 16 years of education with 50% marks
2. 50% marks obtained in the entry test.

Selection Criteria for the Postgraduate Program
1. The candidate should have completed Masters with 70% marks
2. A high score on GRE required
