The Government College Women University Sialkot Campus (GCWU Sialkot) is a public sector university situated in Sialkot city, Punjab, Pakistan.
The Intermediate classes in this college are started in the year 1951, F.Sc classes in 1952 and B.Sc. in 1960. The College was converted into a Post Graduate College in the year 1989 providing Master Classes in the subject of English, Urdu, and Islamiyat. BS(Hons), 4 Years Degree Program was initiated by the Higher Education Department in the year 2010. Keeping in view its immense educational growth rate, it acquired the status of First Women University in Sialkot and was renamed as the Government College Women University, Sialkot.
The GCWU Sialkot Campus’ mission is to produce such a female workforce that will be capable of anticipating, understanding, analyzing and solving all types of problems faced by the nation and country in an innovative and respectable way.
GCWU Sialkot Campus is affiliated with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the motto of the GCWU Sialkot is “Service, Knowledge, Discipline”.

Selection Criteria for Undergraduate Programs
1. 12 years of education related to the field, passed with the second division.
2. 50% marks secured in the field related subject.
Selection Criteria for Graduate and Postgraduate Programs
1. 16 years of education for MS and 18 years of education for the Ph.D. program.
2. At least CGPA 2.5/4 for MS program.

ORIC works in GCWU Sialkot Campus in order to commercialize the research and to help the startups to flourish, creating new jobs, services, products, markets, to carry out innovation and to get funding. They are expected to secure funds for contractual research generate revenues from researches commercialization/technology transfer, secure investment for incubates and to create jobs and internships.
Through merging different entities working in an institute, methods for the conducive environment and to provide a strong platform are developed. The advanced studies and research board or office of sponsored research will carry wing one research development and operation. Wing 3 will be made up of Business or technology incubators.
The responsibilities of incubators will be to support the commercialization of research and also give a platform for university-industry research linkage. HEC developed, in 2010, the ORICS in HEIs to protect the influence of research and to introduce the entrepreneurship among university graduates.
Seminars and workshops are very beneficial for the students as well as for the faculty members as in order to gain some information, motivation from the experts, developing communication skills.
