FATA University is a public sector university situated in Akhorwal, Darra Adam Khel, FR Kohat, in Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). The university is run by the Ministry of SAFRON. Darra Adam Khel is a town in Frontier Region Kohat located in between Kohat and Peshawar, within the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan. It has gained fame and notoriety for its bazaars packed with gunsmiths and weapons merchants. The town consists of one main street lined with multiple shops, along with some alleys and side streets containing workshops. It is mostly inhabited by Pashtuns of the Afridi clan, which is the Adamkhel.

FATA University Kohat offers admissions in the various disciplines at the undergraduate level only.

Selection Criteria for Undergraduate Programs
1. 12 years of field related education, passed with at least second division from any registered institution.
2. 50% marks in the entry test.

Selection Criteria for Graduate Programs
1. 16 years of education with at least second division with aggregate 45% in the annual system and 2.5 CGPA in the semester system.
2. 50% marks in the entry test.
