Faisalabad Medical University is located in Faisalabad city, Pakistan. Faisalabad is located in the northeast of Punjab. The city covers an area of approximately 1230 square kilometers, comprising largely of flat or rolling plains. It has a population of around 5 million. It is also the third-largest city in Pakistan. The climate of Faisalabad district is of extreme nature, reaching around 50 °C in summers and -1 °C in winters. The soil of the district is very fertile. The average rainfall is about 200 mm.
Faisalabad Medical University was found in 1973. Teaching hospitals affiliated with the university are Allied Hospital and District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Hospital. The Chief Executive of FMU is Prof. Dr.Zafar Chaudhry who is a laparoscopic surgeon. The first group of graduates with M.B.B.S degrees finished in 1978.
With the government’s grant of Rs. 460mn, the construction of new buildings, laboratories, and the teaching hospital was completed in the year  1982. FMU is recognized with the General Medical Council (GMC) and is listed in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED). It is affiliated with UHS and PMDC and our Motto is “Faith, Believe, Discipline and Service to Mankind”. Faisalabad Medical University has separate facilities for boys and girl students.

Selection Criteria for Undergraduates
Selection Criteria for B.Sc Allied Health Sciences
→ Minimum Requirement for B.Sc Allied Health Sciences is 50% in HSSc. (Pre Medical Group).
→ No age restriction

Selection Criteria for B.Sc Nursing
→ Minimum Requirement for B.Sc Nursing is 50% in HSSc. (Pre Medical Group).
→ Age limit is between 17 to 25 years

→ MBBS/equivalent qualification registered with PMDC
→ Minimum 2 years experience in relevant field
→ Pass entry test

Selection Criteria for MS/MD
→ MBBS/equivalent qualification registered with PMDC
→ Completed one year House Job, with at least six months in the particular discipline
→ One-year experience in particular specialty
→ Pass entry test

Selection Criteria for MDS
→ BDS/equivalent qualification registered with PMDC
→ Completed one year House Job
→ Passed Entry Test & interview

Selection Criteria for M.Sc Nursing
→ Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from recognized institution/affiliated to a University approved by HEC.
→ Minimum 1 year clinical or nursing administration experience

Selection Criteria for M.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology
→ First or high 2nd division in B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology/B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry/Biology/ Biotechnology/MBBS
→ Entry Test/Interview
