Abbottabad University of Science and Technology, Abbottabad is located at Havelian, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is a public university. After functioning at Mansehra in the year 2002, it started its sub-campus at Havelian in the year 2008 on a wide area of over 150 acres. This campus has been announced as Abbottabad University of Science and Technology after being authorized by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Assembly in the year 2015.
The focus of the Abbottabad University of Science and Technology is to strengthen intellectual activities for perfect and absolute results to promote the contributory educational plans that can help the students in the best possible way. It provides undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in different disciplines.

The admission criteria of Abbottabad University of Science and Technology are very selective and competitive.

Selection Criteria for Undergraduate Programs
1. Candidate passed 12 years of field-related education.
2. At least with second division from any recognized institution.
3. 50% marks in the entry test.

Selection Criteria for Graduate Programs
1. The candidate passed 16 years of education.
2. With an aggregate of 45% in the annual system and 2.5 cGPA in the semester system.
3. 50% marks in the entry test.
