Military College Jhelum (MCJ) is a prestigious military boarding school located in Jhelum, Punjab, Pakistan. It was established in 1922 as King George Royal Indian Military School to provide military training to young boys. In 1956, after the independence of Pakistan, it was renamed Military College Jhelum and started providing education up to the Intermediate level.

The college has a rich history of producing outstanding military officers and is known for its rigorous academic and physical training programs. Every year, hundreds of students from all over Pakistan compete for admission to this esteemed institution.

Introduction Main entry to the college is in the 8th class. The bulk of seats is offered to the sons of the army personnel only, against their specified quota. However, a limited number of seats are available for the sons of the remaining categories of defense services personnel and civilians to compete on open merit. There are 116 seats in each entry.

  • Affiliation The College is affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Islamabad.
  • Eligibility
  • The students studying in class VII or VIII. However, the candidate must have passed class VII at the time of admission to the College.
  • Should be between 12 and 14 years of age on the 1st of April of the year of admission. (Waiver up to 90 days is admissible).
  • The candidates must be medically FIT.
  • Only males can apply.
  • Ineligibility
  • Withdrawn from any Armed Forces/ Provincial Govts’ cadet colleges on discipline/ character.
  • Overage/ Underage.
  • Declared Medically unfit by Med Board.
  • Submitting Tampered Certs/ Documents.
  • Concealment of Info in Application Form.
  • FEMALE candidates can not apply.
