In March, 1949 Mill Hill London Catholic Father established St. Mary’s Cambridge School as a missionary school for the Catholic district of Islamabad-Rawalpindi. The founding principal was Rev. Fr. Thijssen .St. Mary’s School, Chaklala was established in January 1956 and till 1964 the school educated a number of boys then it was handed over to the P.A.F.
Following the tradition St. Mary’s Academy has produced outstanding results in FBISE SSC-II Examination 2018.
Among 99 candidates, 36 students secured A1 and 29 students secured A grades.
