Boston University offers scholarships for international students on merit. The Trustee, presidential, and Alumni & Friends Scholarships are also for international students who have exceptionally well academic records and impressive leadership interpersonal qualities. The Trustee Scholarship includes full tuition and fees for undergraduate studies. The Presidential Scholarship covers $25,000 in tuition fees. Both scholarships are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study at BU. Alumni & Friends Scholarship offers $10,000 at the cost of full attendance.

Scholarship Details

The Trustee Scholarship

The Trustee Scholars Program at BU invites around 20 exceptional students each year. Many of the current Scholars were valedictorians and had top ranks in their high school classes. and can be renewed for up to four years as long as certain requirements are met. Competitive applicants who are among the top of their class and have demonstrated exceptional involvement in their schools and communities should apply. The scholarship is awarded to first-year students from all over the world who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. It comprises full tuition and fees for undergraduate studies.

The Presidential Scholarship

The Presidential Scholarship is awarded annually by the Board of Admissions to incoming first-year students who exhibit exceptional academic achievement. Presidential Scholars not only excel academically but also demonstrate excellence beyond the classroom and are leaders in their schools and communities. The scholarship offers $25,000 for tuition and it is renewable for up to four years while showing consistently superior results.

 

The Alumni & Friends Scholarship

The Alumni & Friends Scholarships are awarded to a select group of first-year students from various geographic regions and academic backgrounds. These scholarships are made possible by the generosity and support for international education by esteemed alumni and friends of the university. The scholarship is valued at $10,000, covering the full cost of attendance. The priority deadline for the application is December 1st, and the number of awards granted ranges from 5 to 15.

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicants must get the admission acceptance letter from Boston University as an International Student.
  • The applicant must have previous excellent academic grades and records.
  • The applicants have shown remarkable social and leadership skills inside the classroom as well as outside the classroom.

 

 

How to Apply

The Trustee Scholarship

 

  • Applicants must submit a common application and all required documents for admission to the undergraduate degree program.
  • The applicants must also submit an essay with their application that will be of 600 words approximately. The details are on the website. The last date is 1st December 2023.

 

The Presidential Scholarship

 

  • No additional essays or application forms are required for the Presidential Scholarship. To be considered for the scholarship, students should submit their application and all supporting credentials by December 1, 2023.

 

The Alumni & Friends Scholarship

 

  • Submit a completed application for undergraduate admission to Boston University by the priority deadline of December 1, 2023.
  • No additional essays or application forms are required for the Alumni & Friends Scholarships, but students should ensure that their application and supporting credentials are complete and submitted by the December 1 deadline.
  • The selection for the Alumni & Friends Scholarships will be based on the student’s academic achievement and involvement in their school and community, as well as their potential contributions to the university community.
  • The scholarship is granted to some students of first-year from diverse regions and academic interests. This is made viable by the kindness and dedication of notable alumni and friends of the Boston University community.
