US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor PhD Scholarship Program

US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor was discussed at the meeting of Pakistan's Prime Minister and President in June 2015, when the two countries established an Education, Science, and Technology Working Group (ESTWG). To meet Pakistan's Vision 2025 strategy document's high-level human capital development ambitions, both dignitaries instructed their governments to step up collaboration in this crucial area. To train Pakistan's faculty resources, the Government of Pakistan has set a goal of 10,000 Pakistani scholars joining US colleges in the next decade.

Scholarship Details

Scholarship categories:

Category I – Scholarship (Top 50 QS Ranked US Universities):

For this category of scholarship, prospective applicants must have:

  1. Secured admission in top 50 QS World Ranked US University.
  2. Valid GRE – General Score (Minimum 300 in total) OR HAT (Minimum 60%)

Category II -Scholarship (Top 300 QS Ranked US Universities):

For this category of scholarship, prospective applicant must have:

  1. Secured admission in a US University that falls in the list of top 300 QS World Ranking.
  2. Valid GRE – General Score (Minimum 300 in total) OR HAT (Minimum 60%)

Category – III Scholarship (Without Tuition/Designated US Universities)

For this category of scholarship, prospective applicant must have:

  1. Secured admission along with complete tuition waiver for the entire scholarship period in designated US University.

To create profile for first time user, fill in the available form on the link mentioned above.

Click on ‘Register’ for new users and follow the steps stated below:

  • You will be required to create user ID by using your CNIC (without dashes) as User ID and select your password.
  • Create an Account and fill the required information available on the screen.
  • Click and obtain ‘Mobile Code’ on your provided mobile no. for further process. (Currently, MNC / Ported numbers are not supported)
  • After receiving code on your mobile enter the code.
  • Enter your email ID and click Send Code. You will receive a code on your provided email.
  • Please enter a valid email ID.
  • Perform code verification and click on submission.
  • You will be registered successfully. Please check your email for further information.
  • You will be required enter your created ‘User ID’ & ‘Password’ then ‘Sign in’ on HEC portal.
  • Complete online profile section wise at https://scholarships.hec.gov.pk/
  • Click ‘Scholarships and Grants’ on left ‘Navigation’ and then ‘US-PAK Knowledge Corridor Application’.
  • Now follow instructions, fill and submit the form successfully.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Pakistani/ AJK nationals
  2. Minimum 4 years bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.Sc./B. E (16 years formal education))
  3. Maximum two 2nd Divisions and no 3rd Division in entire academic career. However, in case of Category – I & II (Admission in top 50 and 300 QS) Scholarship, maximum one 2nd Division in entire academic career is acceptable.
  4. Maximum age on the closing date shall not exceed:
    1. 40 Years in case of regular faculty members of Public Sector Universities/ Govt Colleges and Researchers of approved/registered R & D Organizations
    2. 35 Years in all other cases
  1. Must not availing any other Scholarship.
  2. Those having Ph.D. Degree are not eligible.
