Vice Chancellor (VC), Government College University (GCU), Lahore, Dr. Asghar Zaidi announced the establishment of two new departments, International Relations, and Electronics. GCU, Lahore already has an Institute of Physics and the newly established department of electronics will operate under that.
The decision of establishing new departments was made on the recommendations of the Academic Council, the Syndicate in its 66th meeting held on September 12, 2022. The decision was announced on the social networking website by the VC GCU Lahore on September 30, 2022.
GCU Lahore already has the departments of Chemistry & Life Sciences, Mathematical & Physical Sciences, Arts & Social Sciences, Languages, Islamic & Oriental Learning, and Faculty of Engineering. “We will induct students, already during Fall 2022. Onwards and upwards we move in this exceptional era for GCU” said Dr. Asghar Zaidi.
