PhD Public Administration

Public administration is the art and science of managing public programs and policies, ensuring their effective execution for the benefit of society. Public Administration is decision making, planning the work to be done, formulating objectives and goals, working with the legislature and citizens of organization to gain public support and funds for Government programmes, establishing and revising organization, directing and supervising employees. Business and company administration is known as the management and operation of the activities in an office, business or an organisation. It is defined as the rational management of human and materials resources in order to accomplish organisational goals. They are involved with the management and functioning as well as the efficient planning and controlling of formal structures within the context of the public sector. Political roles of public administrators include the development and implementation of policies, the stewardship of communal resources, and the overall coordination of the operations of government organizations and plans.The role of public administration is thus to realise the political values which represent the collective interests of the organise in a state society and which are set out in laws by the legal organs, and also the judicial rulings given in accordance with the law.

Eligibility Criteria

  • For admission into the PhD minimum CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0 in the Semester System) or First Division (in the Annual System) after 18 years of relevant education is required.
  • GAT Subject test with minimum of 60% marks or should have scored international GRE (subject specific) with 60% percentile is required.
