PhD Biochemistry

Biochemistry, also known as biological chemistry, is the study of chemical processes within and relating to living organisms. A sub-discipline of both chemistry and biology, biochemistry may be divided into three fields structural biology, enzymology, and metabolism. It is the study of the chemical composition and processes of living organisms. It is a branch of biology and chemistry that examines how living things are made, how they work, and the chemicals that make them up. Biochemistry focuses on understanding the chemical basis that allows biological molecules to give rise to the processes that occur within living cells and between cells. Biochemistry is closely related to molecular biology, the study of the molecular mechanisms of biological phenomena. Much of biochemistry deals with the structures, functions, and interactions of biological macromolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, and lipids. Biochemists focus heavily on the role, function, and structure of biomolecules. The study of the chemistry behind biological processes and the synthesis of biologically active molecules are applications of biochemistry. Biochemistry studies life at the atomic and molecular level. PhD Biochemistry program provides a platform for learning and research in the field of Biochemistry. This programs aims to develop human resources in the field of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology by coaching the PhD scholar to generate new scientific knowledge related to mechanism of disease in human and advance research in Biochemistry to offer best possible solution to the industry, academia and services to the humanity.
