Ph.D. Pathology

Ph.D. Pathology is a 3-5-years degree program that consists of advanced coursework, lab work, and practical training. The aspirants study the molecular, cell biology, and pathophysiological bases of human diseases in this program. Students can specialize in Cell Biology of Disease, Cancer Biology, or Bioinformatics in their courses. On their way to discovering new medicines or diagnostic tests, the trainees uncover discoveries into the fundamental mechanisms of human disease. The Ph.D. program is multidisciplinary, drawing on expertise in all parts of human biology, including molecular underpinnings of disease, analysis of cell, tissue, and animal model systems, and therapeutic intervention design.
Through courses and extracurricular activities, students have the chance to travel and speak at conferences, as well as learn other professional skills like leadership, teaching, scientific communication, and bio-manufacturing. While completing the degree, some even participate in internships in the research industry on the government or private level.

Eligibility Criteria

  • MBBS or equivalent with first division/ 3.0/4.0 CGPA  or MPhil/ FCPS or equivalent degrees in relevant discipline after MBBS first division/ 3.0/4.0 CGPA
  • BDS/Non-MBBS with 16 years of education can apply for Molecular Medicine only.
  • Pass Admission Test with required score (as per University Policy)
