MS Occupational Health

Occupational Health is a multidisciplinary field concerned with the safety, health, and welfare of people at work (i.e., while performing duties required by one's occupation). Occupational Health is related to the fields of occupational medicine and occupational hygiene[a] and aligns with workplace health promotion initiatives. Occupational Health also protects all the general public who may be affected by the occupational environment. occupational health as: "an area of work in public health to promote and maintain highest degree of physical, mental and social well-being of workers in all occupations. Occupational Health is typically used to refer to individuals in work. Occupational health care is a preventive medicine approach that seeks to maximize both the health and the function of workers by providing services that address individual worker concerns and health issues as well as the health-promoting aspects of the workplace. Occupational health is a public health discipline based on the principles of assessment, intervention, and assurance, with prevention as the goal. Primary prevention identifies a hazard and either prevents susceptible individuals from becoming exposed to it (usually through engineering interventions or substitution) or strengthens the individual, such as through immunization.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have completed 16 years of business schooling or education such as MBA, BBA [Hons], MPA, M.Com, B.Com [Hons], B.Sc. Engineering, B-Tech [Hons], or an equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized institution. Additionally, they must achieve a minimum of 50% cumulative score in GAT – General or the institute’s test.
  • They also need to pass an entrance exam
