MS/Mphil Education (Distance & Non-Formal Education)

It is a 2-5 years postgraduate degree program that is specially devised for the educationists who are either working in faculty or the management of the educational institutes. It consists of 2 semesters in the first year with course work and then the aspirants have to complete their thesis to become eligible for the degree. MS DNFE is a higher degree that polishes the skills of the educationist in conventional and distance non-formal education. This enhances the research skills of the degree holders in the relevant fields. The prerequisite for admission is MA Education/ M.Ed./ MS. Ed with 2.50 in the semester system or second division in the annual examination system. The applicants may have to clear the entry test with the required marks. It is recommended to know well about the admission criteria before applying.

Scope

MS/M.Phil. DNFE is a postgraduate degree that aims at developing the research skills of the degree holder with critical thought and development in Distance Non-Formal Education (DNFE). It enables the students to understand the concepts, theories, and advanced skills in distance non-formal education, conventional education, literacy, and technology. The degree holders are well equipped with research skills. In government education development departments, MS education DNFE has a high scope and they are now highly required for improving distance education due to covid-19. In private educational institutes, professionals are employed who have higher degrees in their management and development departments. MS Education DNFE degree holders have more edge for these departments nowadays due to the increase in distance education through the internet. The education system, internationally, has faced a tough time and evolved a lot.
