MS Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation

Mechanical manufacturing and automation is a mechanical engineering discipline that combines engineering mechanics, mechanical design, manufacturing, and automation. It involves the integration of automation technology into mechanical manufacturing to improve quality and efficiency. Mechanical automation technology can improve the efficiency and quality of mechanical manufacturing, reduce input costs, help maintain the sustainability of mechanical manufacturing, and ensure the safety of mechanical manufacturing. The benefits of automation include labor savings, reducing waste, savings in electricity costs, savings in material costs, and improvements to quality, accuracy, and precision. Automation includes the use of various equipment and control systems such as machinery, processes in factories, boilers, and heat-treating ovens, switching on telephone networks, steering and stabilization of ships, aircraft and other applications and vehicles with reduced human intervention. Mechanical and automation engineering requires an understanding of core areas including mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science, design, structural analysis, and electricity. Mechanical and automation engineers design and manufacture machines, engines, power plants, vehicles, and structures.
