MS Human Genetics

Human genetics is the study of inheritance as it occurs in human beings; it's a central field of genetics that includes the study of how characteristics are inherited from parents to children. It is basically the study of genes and tries to explain what they are and how they work. Genetics is when an organism inherits certain traits or characteristics from its ancestors. For example, children often resemble their parents because they have inherited their parents' genes. Genetics attempts to identify inherited traits and explain how these traits are passed from generation to generation. Human genetics encompasses a variety of overlapping fields, including classical genetics, cytogenetics, molecular genetics, biochemical genetics, genomics, population genetics, developmental genetics, clinical genetics, and genetic counseling. The study of human genetics can answer questions about human nature, help understand diseases and the development of effective treatments, and help us to understand the genetics of human life. The program aims to nurture confident individuals who are effective contributors towards the growth of the nation.
