MS Geophysics

Geophysics is the mathematical and scientific study of the Earth's mechanics and structure. This involves everything from understanding the microscopic features of minerals and rocks to global processes like earthquakes and climate change.MS Geophysics is a two-year post-graduate degree program offered by a number of Pakistani universities that teaches fundamental areas of geography and physics in order to explore important Earth Sciences issues. As a Master's student in geophysics, you will learn to apply the principles of physics to the study of the Earth. These studies may also highlight geophysics, which uses geophysical techniques in the search for petroleum, natural gas, mineral deposits and groundwater resources.

Scope

Geophysicists are in high demand in both the public and commercial sectors, especially with the oil, gas, and mineral exploration industries continuing to expand at a fast pace. It is a well-paying profession in Pakistan. This subject, as we all know, is concerned with the study of the earth, minerals, and environment. Many businesses in Pakistan hire people who have completed a master’s  in this field of study. Geophysicists are scientists who examine the physical properties of the Earth. They usually undertake field and lab work for engineering and oil corporations, government geological surveys, and environmental protection organizations.
