MS Costal and water resources engineering

Water resources and coastal engineering is a field that deals with water systems, including rivers, coasts, lakes, groundwater, and offshore seas. It involves the planning, design, and construction of water development projects and the management of water resources for various uses. Coastal engineering is a branch of civil engineering concerned with the specific demands posed by constructing at or near the coast, as well as the development of the coast itself. Coastal engineers are often interdisciplinary involved in integrated coastal zone management, also because of their specific knowledge of the hydro- and morpho dynamics of the coastal system. The coastal environment produces challenges specific for this branch of engineering: waves, storm surges, tides, tsunamis, sea level changes, sea water and the marine ecosystem. While water resources engineering deals with designing the infrastructure to manage and utilize the nation's water supply. Water resources engineers design, implement, and manage projects related to water resources. Their work can include: Water supply and distribution, water treatment, wastewater management, flood control and environmental concerns.
