MS Community Health and Nutrition

MS Community Health and Nutrition is a 2 years program that provides a research-based value-added degree for doctors, nurses, nutritionists, and technologists to improve their professional practice and provide improved job opportunities at home and abroad. This program will give students additional hands-on experience with lab equipment and research methodologies in order to establish novel strategies for addressing nutrition and dietetics concerns, as well as practical solutions. This is the key to success, and most students choose practical knowledge over theoretical information.
It includes learning supportive dietary remedies for modern-day diseases as well as building preventive management abilities. The curriculum brings together various new and developing trends in healthcare and incorporates recent discoveries in human biochemistry and nutritional medicine. Students will learn to think critically, communicate effectively, and assess scientific studies in the field of community health and nutrition.

Eligibility Criteria

  • 16 years of education in the relevant field with 2.500/4.00 CGPA or equivalent education

Scope

The degree holders of MS Community Health and Nutrition will have a strong background in nutrition and food science and will be well-prepared to work in research, teaching, and clinical settings in research institutes, universities/colleges, and hospitals/private nutrition clinics. In addition, graduates will be able to work as community education officers, health-promoting specialists, and nutritional therapists in a variety of public and private-sector organizations dedicated to improving nutrition in the country. Students who complete the degree will be qualified to work as Consultant Clinical Nutritionists/Dietitians, Community Nutritionists/Public Health Nutritionists, Nutrition Educationists/Researchers, and Community Nutrition Program Managers in the public and private sectors.
