MS Applied Mathematics

Applied mathematics is the use of mathematical methods to solve real-world problems in a variety of fields, including engineering, physics, biology, business, and computer science. It's a combination of mathematical science and specialized knowledge. Applied mathematics involves the application of mathematics to problems that arise in various areas, e.g., science, engineering or other diverse areas, and/or the development of new or improved methods to meet the challenges of new problems. The term "applied mathematics" also describes the professional specialty in which mathematicians work on practical problems by formulating and studying mathematical models. Applied mathematics consisted principally of applied analysis, most notably differential equations, approximation theory (broadly construed to include representations, asymptotic methods, variational methods, and numerical analysis) and applied probability. Applied mathematics grew alongside the advancement of science and technology. With the advent of modern times, the application of mathematics in fields such as science, economics, technology, and more became deeper and more timely.
