MS Anaesthesiology

As a medical specialty anesthesiology provides perioperative patient services that extend from anesthesia delivery for surgical and diagnostic procedure anesthesia to reversible sensory and cognitive status changes and pain control. The education in this field encourages students to acquire knowledge about general, regional and local anesthesia methods together with their respective pharmacological agent principles. The practice of anesthesiology requires skills to track and support core surgical functions including breathing and circulation and organ function maintenance through modern approaches in airway control and monitoring of blood pressure systems. The educational program includes assessment of surgical risks to improve patient conditions before operations as well as management of intraoperative safety and postoperative recovery alongside pain control. Students learn critical care medicine and pain management while studying at medical school due to their potential work responsibilities within intensive care units and acute and chronic pain management roles. To practice anestheology students need basic training in human physiology in addition to pharmacology knowledge and surgical procedure expertise as well as invasive procedure and emergency medical competence. Medical interventions require combined knowledge of science and clinical abilities in anesthesiology to provide safe patient care together with procedural comfort.
