M.phil Chemical Pathology

Chemistry pathology is a division in medical laboratory sciences focusing on qualitative tests of important compounds, referred to as analytes or markers, in bodily fluids and tissues using analytical techniques and specialized instruments. This interdisciplinary field includes knowledge from medicine, biology, chemistry, biomedical engineering, informatics, and an applied form of biochemistry. Chemistry pathology is a medical specialty that involves studying the biochemical composition of bodily fluids, such as blood, urine, and cerebrospinal fluid. The goal of chemistry pathology is to identify and monitor changes in the body's chemistry to diagnose and monitor diseases. Chemistry pathologists play a key role in diagnosing and monitoring a wide range of illnesses, from high cholesterol to rare genetic diseases. Pathology is the medical specialty that studies disease processes, how they develop, and what causes them. Pathologists are medical doctors who have completed residency training in pathology and are experts in laboratory techniques used to study disease. MPhil Chemical Pathology program improves scientific knowledge in the clinical chemistry, research and creative approaches in the fields of the MPhil Chemical Pathology aiming to offer best possible services to the patients care and academia. Qualified faculty members contribute significantly to the teaching and research by using high tech equipment available in the laboratories to undertake basic biomedical research in the areas of, Metabolic Disorders, Endocrine Disorders, Special Clinical Chemistry and other related discipline of Chemical Pathology.
