Diploma Educational Planning & Management
The Diploma in Educational Planning and Management is a particularly planned and detailed programme aimed at strengthening and enhancing the administrative skills of teachers who want to expand their positions beyond their domain specific responsibilities.The course examines critical management and planning issues confronting contemporary education from a range of pertinent viewpoints. The course takes a critical look at present educational planning and management techniques and ideas, and seeks to make judgments in light of unique cultural, social, economic, and institutional settings. This course will provide students with an overview and knowledge of the fundamental principles and theories underlying the planning and management of education as a public service and a "public good." The student will develop transferable skills in the analysis and evaluation of significant management and planning topics through the critical application of these concepts and theories to specific issues and challenges identified in the literature and in practice (e.g., through published case studies).
