BS Textile, Fashion and Accessory Design with Specialization

Although Pakistan's textile and clothing sector is the country's largest setup, it is not working to its full potential. Several factors, including a lack of clean and fine cotton from the local ginning industry, limited use of man-made fibers by spinning mills, low levels of efficiency and productivity in downstream industries, supply chain flaws, a limited export base, low value-added items, and a lower ranking in the global competitive index, among others. By increasing overall performance, the newly created BS Textile, Fashion and Accessory Design is 4 years degree programme that will assist all sub-sectors of Pakistan's Textile and Clothing industry in gaining their fair part of global commerce. Students will learn about natural and synthetic textile fibers, as well as the fundamentals of spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing, and garment manufacturing in the first two years of the curriculum. They will study technical textiles in senior classes and specialize in one of the textile industry's sub-sectors, such as yarn manufacturing, fabric manufacturing, textile coloration, and garment manufacturing.

Eligibility Criteria

  • At least 50% marks in FSc/ICS/DAE/BSc examination with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Computer Science subjects or equivalent foreign qualifications certified by IBCC.
  • Passing marks in entry test.
