Radiology is a highly technical and specialized field of medical sciences. The radiography equipment is highly technical and cannot be handled by anyone. Different radiography procedures yield different kinds of results that are needed to be seen and reported by the specialist. BS in radiology is the degree that equips the aspirant with enough knowledge and skill to work in the radiology department in different capacities. Every public and private hospital has a major or small radiology department that is run by a team of professionals of radiologists. In that team, professionals with BS radiology have the status of persons with major responsibility. People have the perception that only doctors run the radiology department. However, this is not true because several paramedical technical professionals are required to manage the high-tech machines and computers of the department. Besides high scope in hospitals and diagnostic centers, BS radiology degree holders have a good scope in pursuing a postgraduate degree to join research centers in their specialized field.
