BS Organic and Biochemistry

Organic chemistry is a sub-discipline of chemistry, which studies the reactions, mechanisms of the organic molecules which might or might not exist in living organisms. Biochemistry is the branch of chemistry that deals with processes and reactions that occur within the organism. Organic Chemistry deals with carbon-including compound; its major focus is on compounds with carbon-hydrogen (C-H) bonds. Organic molecules are basic components of all living organisms, and are used in cells and in different metabolic activities. This field involves such diverse structures as hydrocarbons, alcohols, acids, proteins, carbohydrates and nucleic acids. Organic chemistry is relevant in industries such as the pharmaceuticals, agriculture and material sciences since it helps in synthesis of innumerable products that are a necessity to mankind today.Adult biochemistry involves the application of chemistry and biology to look at the chemical transactions in itself and other living organisms. It also covers the shape, properties, and behaviour of biological substances, such as enzymes, DNA, RNA and cell signaling. Biochemistry requires obtaining knowledge about actions, functioning, development and other processes in cells on the molecular level. They are vital in relation to future development of medicine, biology, genetics, and pharmacology. While organize chemistry is about how compounds are built from molecules, biochemistry is interested in how these molecules work in a living system, from influencing diseases and diseases’ treatments as well as drugs and drugs’ mechanisms of action. Combined, organic chemistry and biochemistry represent the foundation toward naming and explaining life’s chemical processes as well as interventional strategies for enhancing health industry, and environmental stewardship.
