BS Marketing and Sales Management

Marketing and sales management deal with an understanding of customer needs. It includes the response to them through the development, production, and sales of goods and services and the impact on customers' needs following the strategic purposes of the organization. Sales focuses on the needs of the company, while marketing focuses on the needs of the market. This includes coordinating tactical marketing communications with the sales cycle, to target, involve and acquire prospects into customers. Sales marketing seek to inform the target market about an existing product or service, make them develop a desire about the product or service in question and make them buy the product or service through the use of various marketing strategies. Marketing and sale have their own functions in business. Sales involve settling for orders and making money with customer interactions. On the other hand, marketing works more extensively in the process of generating awareness, relationship development, and generating sustainable sales. Marketing is primarily concerned with getting the product into the hands of customers (through brand promotions and product introduction), while sales is mostly concerned with getting the product from the hands of consumers and into the hands of the consumer. Sales is more oriented on the needs of the firm, while marketing is more oriented on the needs of the customers.
