BS Journalism is a 4-year degree program that comprises of 8 semesters. Students in the BS Journalism program learn the most up-to-date reporting, writing, and technological skills for both traditional and digital media. The degree holders gain more confidence in multimedia communication, story identification and pitching, and engaging with editors. In addition, degree graduates learn how to conduct insightful interviews, obtain relevant data, and write appealing tales with clarity and flair.
The goal of the BS Journalism program is to help students have a better grasp of politics, international security, environmental policy, and world religions. Optional certificates in business communication, digital storytelling, and marketing management and digital strategy are available to degree holders. The goal of the Bachelor of Science in Journalism program is to generate visionary young media professionals and educators with strong foundations in functional journalism, information technology, and communication studies education.
