BS Criminology is a 4-years degree program that aims to provide a blend of theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to comprehend crime, criminal behavior, and criminality. The crime-focused program is designed to provide young graduates with job-oriented skills in order to improve their employability in particular, as well as to produce young professionals who can reshape policies to prevent crime in general. The program focuses on the criminal justice system's nature as well as the links between law and social justice. The degree prepares students to conduct research studies, extension program, and community development in order to improve the practice of criminology for the sake of maintaining peace and order.
Many disciplines, including sociology, law, psychology, economics, biology, history, political science, and social work, are drawn upon and incorporated into the area of criminology. However, it differs from these academic disciplines in that it makes the best use of these disciplines to carry out the state's and society's most important functions, namely, the prevention of crime, the administration of justice, the rehabilitation of offenders, and the protection of the community.

Students can pursue professional careers in the police force, prison department, criminal investigation officer, probation officer, parole officer, criminal intelligence analyst, professor, researcher, security officer, and civil society organizations that work for the welfare of young offenders, women offenders, and prisoners after completing a degree in criminology.
