BS Clinical and Counseling Psychology

It is the goal of the Clinical and Counseling Psychology program to better address the needs of students who wish to pursue a profession or attend graduate school in the mental health field and who require an undergraduate clinical psychology degree. Clinical and Counseling Psychology is 4 years degree programme. Courses from the psychology major's foundations section are combined with courses from the clinical and counseling section to form a cohesive program. As part of their final year, students are required to complete an internship in a facility that has been approved in addition to their coursework.

  • Intermediate from a recognised board and secured a minimum of 50%.

Scope

Graduates with a clinical psychology degree can find entry-level work in a variety of different fields after graduation. Many jobs entail supporting licensed clinical psychologists in their practice. These positions give graduates with valuable hands-on training and exposure. Others choose to work in a similar sector, such as school counseling, once they graduate. Many students choose to continue working while pursuing their master’s degree at the same time. In addition, many graduate programs allow students to complete compulsory practical experiences at their places of employment while still in university.
