BS Biochemistry

A unique multidisciplinary curriculum as well as exposure to the real world Bioscience Industry are provided by the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry (which is administered by the Faculty of Basic Sciences). Biologists contribute significantly to the following fields: medical sciences, genetic engineering and biotechnology, immunology and stem cell technologies, cancer research and development (including agriculture), biopharmaceuticals, and drug development (including pharmaceutical formulations). Biochemistry is an intriguing and fast expanding discipline of biological sciences that is currently experiencing significant growth. Those interested in pursuing a career in laboratory research or pursuing further study in graduate, medical, or other biomedical professional programs (such as medicine, dentistry, or medical technology) will find this course useful.

Eligibility Criteria

  • FSc: PreMedical or O/A level with Biology and atleast secure 60% marks or equivalent.
  • Passing marks in entry test.
